MGBS Photoshoot 2024 Testimonies

The photoshoot provided me with an everlasting experience. On the day of the photoshoot, I felt scared and excited at the same time, scared because I don’t know anyone but when I arrived, other dancers were so friendly and made me feel at ease. Most importantly, I learnt to be able to follow instructions accurately and at the same time, teamwork played a very important role.

From Chan Wai Reuhn Roy, a dancer from KL Dance Works

On Friday morning, I took my first photo shoot as a ballerina and it was an amazing experience. I got to know a lot of great older brothers and sisters (who are also ballerinas) and they are all great. I aspire to be that good in the future. I will!

Artku Dance Development Program 2025

First of all, I would like to thank Malaysia Global Ballet Scholarship and
Artku Dance Development Program for the opportunity and invitation
to watch this incredible performance. After watching the Chinese
cultural dance performance by the primary and secondary schools’
dancers, I was captivated by the graceful blend of tradition and artistry.

The dancers moved with precision and elegance, their flowing
costumes enhancing the beauty of each movement. I personally love
开⻔红 (Red Crescendo), 真象⼤⽩(Where is the Elephant?) and ⽓
韵(Spirit Resonance) because the dancers are very well synchronised
their move with the rhythm and their musicality are brilliant and hence
it can effectively convey a storyline through its movements,
expressions and choreography.

The use of Chinese traditional instruments like the guzheng and erhu
added depth to the emotional narrative, while the costume and vibrant
props like fans brought a dynamic visual appeal that helped the
audience connect with the story being told.
Introducing more Malaysians to Chinese cultural dance in order to be
able to strengthen cultural exchange and unity, enriching Malaysia
diverse cultural landscape. Overall, it was truly a mesmerizing show
that combine of Chinese culture, highlighting its rich history, artistic
depth, and timeless beauty. I am looking forward to the next
performances in the future

From Chloe Atichanan Treesookkasem, a dancer from Alice Chow Ballet

Not what I usually watch, but the show had some really interesting moments, and I really enjoyed watching them dancing. The dances were also unique, and there were a few hard movement that were eye opening as I can’t even do it. I can see why some people enjoy it, as it showcased precision, grace and China’s rich heritage. It was a beautiful representation of the Chinese culture and I look forward to attending future performances with the aim of showing support to preserve these traditions. Overall, it was a pretty cool experience! A heartfelt thank you to MGBS and ArtKu for giving me this opportunity to watch this show!

From Chai Xin Bei, a dancer from Amare Dance Academy

Watching the ArtKu production, I felt totally drawn in the whole time. The dancers were so graceful, you could tell how much work and passion went into every move. It was really cool to see how different it is from ballet. The dancers were so soft with their arms unlike in ballet where there are strict positions. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the art form. I want to thank MGBS and ArtKu for giving me this opportunity to experience this. It’s an experience that I would never forget. Thank you!!!

From Khor Shay Ru, a dancer from Amare Dance Academy

After witnessing this unique performance, I was blown away to discover a world of knowledge that went far beyond ballet! It opened my eyes to the rich tapestry of traditional dance styles, leaving me with a thrilling and deeper appreciation for the art form.
